SENCO support and Exam Access Arrangements Consultancy

I am a qualified SENCo and Level 7 Specialist Assessor for Exam Access arrangements. I am employed as a SENCo in an East Sussex Secondary school and have led on Exam Access arrangements in schools since 2017.
Alongside my SENCo role I run a consultancy service, specialising in providing Exam Access Arrangements support to schools and mentoring for new to post SENCos.
I have included examples of services that I provide below, however I can provide a bespoke service depending on the needs of your setting. ​

Exam Access Arrangements Services

Exam Access Arrangements Assessments
Exam Access arrangement testing and completion of Form 8 Section Bs. This can be done online or in person for schools in the Brighton and Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex area.

Exam Access Arrangements SENCo support service
Providing the full Exam Access Arrangements service from identifying which students may need EAA, collecting evidence from teachers, assessing students, completion of all sections of Form 8s and Form 9s, creation of the Exam Access arrangements list, liaison with the Exam's officer, JCQ online applications and preparing the files for Inspection.

Training an Exam Access Arrangements co-ordinator
For school's that require the Exam Access Arrangements SENCo support service for Exam Access (Service 2), a cost effective long term solution is to have an Exam Access Arrangements Co-ordinator. I can train a member of your staff to become proficient in this role and provide ongoing support alongside assessment services.
Mentoring for new SENCos

Identifying needs through assessment and tracking
Reviewing process used to identify students that require literacy, numeracy and academic support. Advising on improvements to these processes and providing training if needed.

Cognition and Learning Strand Interventions
Reviewing the interventions provided and assessing their success. Advising on adaptations to current interventions and suggesting new interventions that could be used to improve progress.

Cost effective use of technology for SEND
Advising on how to support students to increase independence in lessons, tests and exams through the introduction of cost effective technology.
